Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , Computers & Peripherals and Other Electronic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Ta Jiang Co Ltd (TW:1453), which rose 10.00% or 0.90 points to trade at 9.90 at the close. Fortune Electric Co Ltd (TW:1519) added 9.97% or 1.90 points to end at 20.95 and Grand Pacific Petrochemical Corp (TW:1312) was up 9.96% or 2.35 points to 25.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:8374), which lost 9.94% or 4.10 points to trade at 37.15 in late trade. Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912) declined 7.98% or 17.00 points to end at 196.00 and Taisol Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3338) shed 6.29% or 2.00 points to 29.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 411 to 325 and 137 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.14% or 0.08 to $57.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.82 to trade at $1285.68 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.05% to 30.166, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.2201.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.40.
