Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 2.82% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.300 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 1.59% or 0.010 points to end at 0.640 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.26% or 0.020 points to 1.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 2.54% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.750 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.46% or 0.350 points to end at 13.900 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 2.21% or 0.060 points to 2.660.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.55% or 0.68 to $43.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.22% or 0.57 to hit $46.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.75 to trade at $1313.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.01% to 3.3850, while EUR/PEN fell 0.27% to 3.7997.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.82% at 96.06.
