Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Multi Investment and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.61% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:8210), which rose 9.63% or 12.25 points to trade at 139.50 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) added 4.85% or 1.90 points to end at 41.10 and Bawan (SE:1302) was up 4.25% or 1.00 points to 24.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aseer Trading Tourism&Manufacturing (SE:4080), which lost 9.95% or 1.85 points to trade at 16.75 in late trade. Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) declined 6.62% or 2.10 points to end at 29.60 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) shed 5.41% or 1.40 points to 24.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 43 and 19 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.14% or 0.06 to $42.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.29% or 0.13 to hit $45.10 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.90 to trade at $1334.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.13% to 4.1253, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 97.20.
