Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.58% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100), which rose 7.01% or 1.88 points to trade at 28.70 at the close. SABB Takaful (SE:8080) added 7.00% or 3.37 points to end at 51.50 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) was up 2.75% or 2.45 points to 91.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220), which lost 2.94% or 1.20 points to trade at 39.60 in late trade. Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300) declined 2.94% or 0.81 points to end at 26.70 and BANK ALBILAD (SE:1140) shed 2.70% or 1.02 points to 36.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 131 to 34 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.01% or 0.60 to $58.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.72% or 0.46 to hit $62.85 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.38% or 4.40 to trade at $1172.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.92% to 4.2063, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7515.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.66% at 95.75.
