Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Retail and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070), which rose 4.75% or 1.40 points to trade at 30.90 at the close. Astra Industrial Group (SE:1212) added 4.00% or 0.70 points to end at 18.20 and Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE:2250) was up 3.13% or 0.45 points to 14.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040), which lost 7.23% or 2.90 points to trade at 37.20 in late trade. Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240) declined 6.62% or 3.00 points to end at 42.30 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) shed 5.36% or 1.50 points to 26.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 125 to 29 and 16 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 0.26 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1317.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.1370, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 96.98.
