Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Multi Investment, Media & Publishing and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SE:4050), which rose 6.21% or 1.10 points to trade at 18.80 at the close. Al Hammadi Co (SE:4007) added 4.51% or 1.80 points to end at 41.70 and ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) was up 4.42% or 1.90 points to 44.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which lost 10.14% or 0.70 points to trade at 6.20 in late trade. Saudi Int Petrochemical Co (SE:2310) declined 3.83% or 0.75 points to end at 18.85 and Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) shed 3.61% or 0.30 points to 8.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 44 and 22 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.18% or 0.10 to $53.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.28% or 0.16 to hit $57.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.05 to trade at $1146.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.37% to 3.9217, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7511.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 102.97.
