Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Petrochemicals and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050), which rose 10.00% or 3.35 points to trade at 36.85 at the close. Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) added 6.38% or 1.65 points to end at 27.50 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 2.87% or 0.46 points to 16.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040), which lost 3.33% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.30 in late trade. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) declined 3.23% or 2.40 points to end at 72.00 and Arabian Cement Co (SE:3010) shed 2.95% or 0.70 points to 23.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 146 to 32 and 9 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.30% or 0.14 to $46.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 1.95 to trade at $1251.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.31% to 4.2766, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.287.
