Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate Development, Financial Services and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 2.53% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which rose 10.38% or 3.30 points to trade at 35.10 at the close. Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) added 9.70% or 0.80 points to end at 9.05 and Samba Financial Group (SE:1090) was up 9.30% or 2.00 points to 23.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200), which lost 3.24% or 0.35 points to trade at 10.45 in late trade. Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:1214) declined 2.62% or 0.70 points to end at 26.00 and Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE:4300) shed 2.59% or 0.15 points to 5.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 61 and 26 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.25% or 0.11 to $43.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $45.10 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.57% or 6.95 to trade at $1236.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.19% to 4.2175, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 94.84.
