Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Agriculture & Food, Energy & Utilities and Retail sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which rose 9.59% or 0.35 points to trade at 4.00 at the close. Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005) added 5.22% or 1.05 points to end at 21.15 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) was up 4.38% or 0.55 points to 13.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310), which lost 3.76% or 0.80 points to trade at 20.50 in late trade. Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co (SE:1330) declined 3.21% or 0.45 points to end at 13.55 and Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290) shed 2.72% or 0.25 points to 8.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 52 and 19 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.64% or 0.34 to $53.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.93% or 0.51 to hit $55.59 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.06% or 12.65 to trade at $1185.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.44% to 4.0134, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 100.43.
