Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Pipes Company (TADAWUL:2200), which rose 8.07% or 10.60 points to trade at 142.00 at the close. Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff .Co (TADAWUL:2270) added 4.76% or 15.60 points to end at 343.60 and Makkah Construction&Development Co (TADAWUL:4100) was up 4.29% or 4.80 points to 116.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which lost 7.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.12 in late trade. Al Taiseer Group TALCO Industrial Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:4143) declined 6.69% or 4.30 points to end at 60.00 and Arabian Cement Co (TADAWUL:3010) shed 4.76% or 1.35 points to 27.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 193 to 97 and 22 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.71% or 2.77 to $77.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.27% or 2.55 to hit $80.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 12.65 to trade at $2,464.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.31% to 4.07, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 103.75.
