Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 5.41% or 1.7 points to trade at 33.1 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 2.16% or 0.04 points to end at 1.90 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 1.05% or 0.80 points to 77.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 3.11% or 0.3 points to trade at 9.3 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 1.08% or 3.2 points to end at 292.4 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 0.48% or 0.3 points to 73.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 73 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.31% or 0.15 to $49.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.54% or 0.27 to hit $49.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1213.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.3003, while USD/NOK rose 0.41% to 8.3392.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 95.53.
