Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.48% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 10.53% or 1820 points to trade at 19100 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 0.98% or 120 points to end at 12400 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 0.84% or 38 points to 4570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which lost 6.50% or 5070 points to trade at 72930 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 6.02% or 73 points to end at 1140 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) shed 5.65% or 13.0 points to 217.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 177 to 175 and 99 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.90% or 0.32 to $35.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.02% or 0.39 to hit $37.93 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.67% or 7.20 to trade at $1068.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.8567, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 4.2528.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.48.
