Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Materials and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.62% or 2.45 points to trade at 55.45 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.75% or 8.4 points to end at 313.6 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.68% or 5.40 points to 207.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which lost 1.43% or 0.42 points to trade at 29.00 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 1.42% or 0.11 points to end at 7.64 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) shed 1.00% or 1.4 points to 138.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 63 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.34% or 0.60 to $45.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.26% or 0.60 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.66 to trade at $1244.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.5648, while USD/NOK fell 0.04% to 8.3809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.48.
