Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Energy and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 0.89% or 0.42 points to trade at 47.62 at the close. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 0.65% or 0.38 points to end at 58.88 and mBank (WA:MBK) was up 0.19% or 0.80 points to 430.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which lost 2.12% or 0.20 points to trade at 9.24 in late trade. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) declined 2.07% or 0.050 points to end at 2.370 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) shed 1.83% or 2.80 points to 150.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 210 to 198 and 194 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.64% or 0.42 to $65.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.16% or 0.90 to hit $76.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1303.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.08% to 4.2792, while USD/PLN rose 0.29% to 3.6338.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 93.53.
