Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 1.86% or 0.82 points to trade at 44.82 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 1.39% or 0.58 points to end at 42.20 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.09% or 0.92 points to 85.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which lost 6.74% or 13.00 points to trade at 180.00 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.79% or 2.14 points to end at 74.70 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) shed 1.89% or 0.09 points to 4.67.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 213 to 185 and 203 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.11% or 0.81 to $73.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $77.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.22% to 4.3616, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.7157.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 93.79.
