Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 3.36% or 0.290 points to trade at 8.980 at the close. Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) added 3.22% or 0.290 points to end at 9.400 and Lt Group (PS:LTG) was up 2.44% or 0.340 points to 14.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which lost 6.13% or 3.950 points to trade at 60.500 in late trade. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 1.91% or 0.120 points to end at 6.160 and Bk Of Phi Isla (PS:BPI) shed 0.96% or 0.95 points to 97.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 75 and 9 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.62% or 7.50 to $1194.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.81% or 0.48 to hit $60.45 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.38 to trade at $63.40 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.09% to 7.2542, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 45.045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 94.51.
