Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 8.91% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.100 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 0.83% or 0.050 points to end at 6.050 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 0.74% or 0.030 points to 4.060 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which lost 5.41% or 1.000 points to trade at 17.500 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.44% or 0.020 points to end at 0.430 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 4.40% or 0.200 points to 4.350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.92% or 0.94 to $47.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1288.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3375, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7298.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 95.03.
