Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 7.14% or 0.270 points to trade at 4.050 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 5.41% or 0.020 points to end at 0.390 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 3.70% or 0.005 points to 0.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 3.53% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.164 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 1.96% or 0.010 points to end at 0.500 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 1.29% or 0.002 points to 0.153.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.69% or 0.32 to $46.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.07% or 0.53 to hit $50.22 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1183.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2330, while EUR/PEN rose 0.22% to 3.6967.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 94.45.
