Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 1.54% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.660 at the close. Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 1.35% or 0.200 points to end at 15.000 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 1.05% or 0.300 points to 28.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Luna Gold (LM:LGC), which lost 17.65% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.140 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.90% or 0.050 points to end at 0.970 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 4.00% or 0.050 points to 1.200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.78% or 0.46 to $59.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $65.47 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.50 to trade at $1187.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.38% to 3.1430, while EUR/PEN fell 1.14% to 3.5334.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.87.
