Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 1.96% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.520 at the close. Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 0.63% or 0.050 points to end at 7.950 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 0.44% or 0.020 points to 4.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 5.49% or 0.850 points to trade at 14.640 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 3.60% or 0.009 points to end at 0.241 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 3.45% or 1.74 points to 48.74.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 4 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.84% or 2.57 to $64.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.77% or 2.86 to hit $73.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.00% or 26.20 to trade at $1282.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.2776, while EUR/PEN rose 0.12% to 3.8041.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.80.
