Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Lima Assorted and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General fell 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Rio Alto Minin (LM:RIO), which rose 4.06% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.820 at the close. Bco Continenta (LM:CON) added 1.89% or 0.080 points to end at 4.320 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was up 0.57% or 0.030 points to 5.330 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 5.41% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.140 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.85% or 0.005 points to end at 0.130 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 2.73% or 0.300 points to 10.700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 7 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.34% or 0.75 to hit $55.17 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.90 to trade at $1192.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.0770, while EUR/PEN rose 0.59% to 3.3798.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 97.43.
