Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 9.24% or 0.220 points to trade at 2.600 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 8.00% or 0.028 points to end at 0.378 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was up 7.14% or 0.030 points to 0.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 16.67% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.085 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.33% or 0.005 points to end at 0.145 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 3.23% or 0.100 points to 3.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.38% or 0.17 to $45.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.65% or 0.32 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.12% or 12.60 to trade at $1114.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.42% to 3.2275, while EUR/PEN fell 0.11% to 3.6281.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 96.41.
