Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 4.11% or 0.280 points to trade at 7.100 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) added 2.40% or 0.030 points to end at 1.280 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 1.75% or 0.010 points to 0.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Edelnor (LM:EDN), which lost 2.01% or 0.120 points to trade at 5.850 in late trade. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 2.01% or 0.350 points to end at 17.100 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 1.55% or 0.060 points to 3.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 9 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.81% or 1.26 to $43.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $46.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1326.05 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3935, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8154.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.33.
