Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 2.83% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.000 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 1.54% or 0.100 points to end at 6.600 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 1.01% or 0.001 points to 0.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 12.00% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.110 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 6.25% or 0.050 points to end at 0.750 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 4.52% or 0.018 points to 0.380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 5 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.22% or 1.45 to $46.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.29% or 1.08 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.20 to trade at $1132.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.1950, while EUR/PEN fell 0.56% to 3.6148.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 96.04.
