Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 9.38% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.175 at the close. Edegel (LM:EDE) added 3.71% or 0.130 points to end at 3.630 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 3.00% or 0.070 points to 2.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.09 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 8.33% or 0.010 points to end at 0.110 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 4.31% or 0.009 points to 0.200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.33% or 0.81 to $60.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.16% or 0.76 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.60 to trade at $1181.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.1550, while EUR/PEN fell 0.43% to 3.5478.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 94.97.
