Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food & Beverage, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General rose 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 19.33% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.179 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 3.85% or 0.005 points to end at 0.135 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 3.27% or 0.190 points to 6.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Luna Gold (LM:LGC), which lost 4.76% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.200 in late trade. Rio Alto Minin (LM:RIO) declined 4.23% or 0.110 points to end at 2.490 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 2.56% or 0.010 points to 0.380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 6 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.30% or 1.12 to $47.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.93% or 1.08 to hit $55.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1183.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.0975, while EUR/PEN fell 0.81% to 3.3225.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 98.69.
