Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 4.17% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 4.14% or 0.070 points to end at 1.760 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 3.93% or 0.007 points to 0.185 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 3.45% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.560 in late trade. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 1.45% or 0.010 points to end at 0.680 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) shed 1.25% or 0.030 points to 2.370.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 10 to 7 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $72.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $81.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.60 to trade at $1198.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.08% to 3.3028, while EUR/PEN fell 0.25% to 3.8819.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.88.
