Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.82% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 0.65% or 0.01 points to trade at 1.71 at the close. Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK) added 0.40% or 0.25 points to end at 62.35 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was up 0.34% or 1.4 points to 412.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 3.43% or 2.8 points to trade at 78.8 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 3.23% or 1.8 points to end at 53.7 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) shed 2.77% or 1.22 points to 42.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 58 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.32% or 1.32 to $55.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.65% or 1.65 to hit $60.42 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.00 to trade at $1167.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.70% to 8.8888, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 8.0108.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 96.22.
