Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which rose 2.85% or 1.01 points to trade at 36.49 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) added 2.45% or 1.22 points to end at 51.05 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 0.92% or 0.10 points to 11.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which lost 3.23% or 0.5 points to trade at 13.5 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 1.85% or 0.90 points to end at 47.70 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) shed 1.82% or 5.6 points to 301.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 85 and 2 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.35% or 1.93 to $59.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.40% or 2.12 to hit $64.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1190.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 8.5658, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 7.7926.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 96.95.
