Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 3.21% or 2.25 points to trade at 72.45 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.52% or 7.20 points to end at 292.60 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.47% or 10.00 points to 415.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 2.94% or 5.20 points to trade at 171.60 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 2.49% or 3.0 points to end at 117.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 2.08% or 1.10 points to 51.74.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 81 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.60% or 1.63 to $60.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.39% or 1.57 to hit $64.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.60 to trade at $1326.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.44% to 9.6953, while USD/NOK rose 0.47% to 7.8171.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.65.
