Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Software & Computer Services and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.82% or 1.56 points to trade at 56.96 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 0.23% or 0.16 points to end at 70.00 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 0.18% or 0.40 points to 220.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which lost 4.62% or 0.27 points to trade at 5.58 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.04% or 1.02 points to end at 24.25 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 3.75% or 9.3 points to 238.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 164 to 32 and 13 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.02% or 0.67 to $64.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.73% or 0.50 to hit $68.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.90 to trade at $1339.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.6639, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 7.7835.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 89.34.
