Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.86% or 0.98 points to trade at 17.70 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 4.13% or 7.1 points to end at 178.9 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 2.70% or 0.03 points to 1.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 2.06% or 4.0 points to trade at 190.3 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.92% or 1.20 points to end at 61.44 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 1.58% or 2.5 points to 155.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 83 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.44% or 0.70 to $49.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.81 to hit $54.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.54 to trade at $1345.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.2905, while USD/NOK rose 0.03% to 7.7825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 92.02.
