Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which rose 13.22% or 0.85 points to trade at 7.24 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.73% or 0.90 points to end at 52.90 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 1.58% or 3.8 points to 244.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 5.31% or 2.14 points to trade at 38.19 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.97% or 10.60 points to end at 346.00 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 2.84% or 1.00 points to 34.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.17% or 0.11 to $64.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.13% or 0.85 to hit $74.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1300.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 9.5066, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.1313.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.00.
