Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.36%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.80% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.80 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 1.76% or 0.27 points to end at 15.61 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.70% or 6.0 points to 359.5 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR), which lost 1.82% or 3.9 points to trade at 210.6 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.81% or 0.79 points to end at 42.80 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 1.10% or 1.4 points to 121.2.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 81 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.65% or 0.45 to $69.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.81% or 0.60 to hit $74.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 5.80 to trade at $1226.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.17% to 9.5259, while USD/NOK rose 0.45% to 8.1718.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 94.47.
