Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 6.64% or 0.14 points to trade at 2.25 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 6.13% or 5.8 points to end at 101.3 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) was up 4.61% or 1.64 points to 37.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which lost 1.55% or 0.22 points to trade at 13.93 in late trade. Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) declined 1.13% or 5.3 points to end at 464.0 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) shed 1.09% or 0.2 points to 14.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 63 and 4 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.68% or 0.40 to $58.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $66.31 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.35% or 15.80 to trade at $1190.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.65% to 8.4563, while USD/NOK fell 0.16% to 7.5882.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.64.
