Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB), which rose 4.63% or 5.9 points to trade at 133.3 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) added 4.30% or 2.80 points to end at 67.90 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) was up 4.16% or 13.3 points to 332.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which lost 5.64% or 3.1 points to trade at 51.9 in late trade. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) declined 2.82% or 0.04 points to end at 1.48 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) shed 2.64% or 1.06 points to 39.13.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 71 and 10 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $52.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.20% or 0.12 to hit $58.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1161.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.68% to 8.9232, while USD/NOK fell 1.71% to 8.0015.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.66% at 96.03.
