Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Utilities and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 5.05% or 0.8 points to trade at 15.6 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 3.74% or 2.10 points to end at 58.30 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.73% or 7.5 points to 281.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which lost 1.71% or 1.30 points to trade at 74.70 in late trade. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 1.27% or 4.20 points to end at 327.60 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 1.24% or 5.9 points to 468.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 111 to 75 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.04% or 1.08 to $54.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.18% or 1.21 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1235.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 8.9103, while USD/NOK rose 0.33% to 8.3667.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.62.
