Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Utilities and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 4.62% or 4.40 points to trade at 99.60 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 4.32% or 13.8 points to end at 333.3 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.73% or 11.40 points to 428.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 1.57% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.78 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 0.55% or 2.0 points to end at 361.4 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 0.38% or 0.26 points to 69.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 76 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.40% or 0.96 to $69.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.07% or 0.78 to hit $73.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.40 to trade at $1218.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.19% to 9.5325, while USD/NOK fell 0.01% to 8.2555.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 95.23.
