Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Healthcare and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 2.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Akzo Nobel (AMS:AKZO), which rose 4.07% or 2.71 points to trade at 69.27 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP) added 4.03% or 9.45 points to end at 243.70 and Unilever NV (AMS:UNc) was up 3.64% or 1.39 points to 39.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altice SA (AMS:ATCE), which lost 1.03% or 0.97 points to trade at 93.32 in late trade. Aegon (AMS:AEGN) declined 0.54% or 0.038 points to end at 7.022 and NN Group (AMS:NN) shed 0.52% or 0.14 points to 26.05.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 195 to 46 and 7 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 14.40% to 18.99.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.58% or 0.34 to $59.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $65.31 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.20 to trade at $1187.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP fell 1.65% to 0.7267.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 94.74.
