Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 6.82% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.940 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 4.00% or 0.010 points to end at 0.260 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.50% or 0.020 points to 0.820 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 4.35% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.0440 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 4.01% or 0.460 points to end at 11.000 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 2.17% or 0.030 points to 1.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.81% or 0.35 to $43.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1247.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2540, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 96.18.
