Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED), which rose 2.29% or 0.150 points to trade at 6.690 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 2.26% or 0.230 points to end at 10.410 and Brembo (MI:BRBI) was up 1.62% or 1.05 points to 66.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which lost 2.53% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.41 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 2.18% or 0.50 points to end at 22.41 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) shed 1.67% or 0.078 points to 4.606.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 185 to 156 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $48.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.55 to trade at $1204.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0666, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.8720.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 101.14.
