Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Travel & Leisure and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which rose 2.97% or 0.71 points to trade at 24.58 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) added 2.73% or 0.97 points to end at 36.48 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 1.78% or 1.50 points to 85.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which lost 2.59% or 0.270 points to trade at 10.170 in late trade. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) declined 2.18% or 1.11 points to end at 49.84 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) shed 1.98% or 0.0165 points to 0.8160.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 176 to 165 and 28 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.38% or 0.18 to $47.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $49.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.87 to trade at $1245.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.03% to 1.1633, while EUR/GBP rose 1.47% to 0.8971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 94.06.
