Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 3.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 0.68% or 0.0360 points to trade at 5.3080 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) fell 0.39% or 0.03 points to end at 7.23 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was down 0.45% or 0.08 points to 17.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI), which lost 9.43% or 0.221 points to trade at 2.123 in late trade. Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (MI:ISP) declined 8.44% or 0.203 points to end at 2.201 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) shed 8.34% or 0.363 points to 3.988.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 50 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.69% or 1.22 to $73.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.97% or 1.60 to hit $82.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.00 to trade at $1196.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1616, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8901.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.68.
