Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 3.49% or 1.23 points to trade at 36.48 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 1.75% or 0.44 points to end at 25.57 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was up 1.13% or 0.25 points to 22.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 3.98% or 0.188 points to trade at 4.530 in late trade. Italgas SpA (MI:IG) declined 3.63% or 0.194 points to end at 5.144 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) shed 3.51% or 0.46 points to 12.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 255 to 97 and 28 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.84% or 2.01 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.28% or 1.74 to hit $74.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1884, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.84.
