Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.60% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which rose 2.18% or 0.077 points to trade at 3.614 at the close. Atlantia (MI:ATL) added 1.72% or 0.30 points to end at 17.70 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 1.33% or 0.0066 points to 0.5032 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which lost 10.85% or 3.86 points to trade at 31.73 in late trade. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 8.14% or 9.15 points to end at 103.20 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) shed 5.98% or 0.40 points to 6.29.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 240 to 125 and 23 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.09% or 1.57 to $73.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.79% or 1.52 to hit $83.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1192.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1544, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.05.
