Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Hera (BIT:HRA), which rose 1.43% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) added 1.36% or 0.08 points to end at 5.80 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 1.17% or 0.03 points to 2.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which lost 3.79% or 0.18 points to trade at 4.44 in late trade. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 3.78% or 1.30 points to end at 33.09 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) shed 2.84% or 0.19 points to 6.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 299 to 184 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.22% or 0.18 to $81.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.18% or 0.15 to hit $85.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.14% or 27.05 to trade at $2,341.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 105.44.
