Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 1.06% or 0.160 points to trade at 15.240 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 0.74% or 0.24 points to end at 32.74 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was up 0.46% or 0.014 points to 3.054 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 3.83% or 0.1380 points to trade at 3.4660 in late trade. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 3.23% or 0.480 points to end at 14.400 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 2.80% or 0.144 points to 4.996.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 255 to 111 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.51% or 0.27 to $52.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.98 to trade at $1280.28 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1809, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.53.
