Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (MI:ISP), which rose 2.15% or 0.045 points to trade at 2.165 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.12% or 0.0103 points to end at 0.4957 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was up 1.88% or 0.071 points to 3.844 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which lost 5.61% or 2.15 points to trade at 36.16 in late trade. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 3.39% or 0.39 points to end at 11.10 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) shed 3.32% or 0.24 points to 6.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 164 and 35 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.15% or 1.64 to $74.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.44% or 1.24 to hit $85.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1202.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1505, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 95.46.
