Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 3.62% or 0.1260 points to trade at 3.6080 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) added 3.32% or 0.138 points to end at 4.294 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 2.72% or 0.068 points to 2.570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which lost 5.63% or 1.75 points to trade at 29.35 in late trade. Enel (MI:ENEI) declined 2.66% or 0.145 points to end at 5.315 and Terna (MI:TRN) shed 1.95% or 0.100 points to 5.020.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 193 to 161 and 26 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.47% or 0.27 to $57.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.35% or 0.22 to hit $63.63 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1263.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1819, while EUR/GBP rose 0.57% to 0.8852.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 93.22.
