Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 3.65% or 0.25 points to trade at 7.11 at the close. Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) added 2.38% or 0.066 points to end at 2.840 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 1.77% or 0.083 points to 4.772 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which lost 2.13% or 2.20 points to trade at 100.95 in late trade. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 2.08% or 0.0970 points to end at 4.5650 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) shed 1.83% or 0.31 points to 16.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 135 and 28 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.22% or 1.40 to $61.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.10% or 1.54 to hit $71.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1227.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1423, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8726.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.06.
